Celebrating the Eureka Cultural Arts District: Visions of Creative Community

This exhibit showcases work that reflects the diverse and innovative perspectives of the people and lifeways of the Eureka Cultural Arts District.
As we launch a wide range of programming and opportunities in the District with the goal to further creative and cultural vitality in our community and beyond, we encourage the public to engage in discourse about the question of "What is the Eureka Art and Culture District?".
Art will be displayed at the Brenda Tuxford Gallery at 422 First Street for the month of September with a show opening on September 7 from 6-9pm. The opening night will feature local performers and additional celebratory activities may take place during the month.

The Eureka Cultural Arts District is one of 14 State recognized Cultural Arts Districts. The District is intended to act as a focal point for all cultural and artistic activities within the district’s boundaries while encouraging economic development, tourism, equity and inclusion, community engagement, arts programming, support of artists, and cultural and historic preservation.

The Eureka Cultural Arts District is supported by a partnership between the Wiyot Tribe, the Ink People Center for Arts and Culture, Eureka Main Street, and the City of Eureka.
