Breakfast with Santa

Santa is coming to visit McKinleyville children on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 8:30 to 11:30 am at the Dows Prairie Grange. Local Girl Scouts will be hosting a pancake breakfast at the same time as well as singing Christmas carols as a festive backdrop for those waiting to meet Kris Kringle. Additionally, there will be a Girl Scout information table and free craft for children and the McKinleyville Lions Club will be providing free vision screenings for anyone 6 months of age or older.
These three local non-profits are teaming up to provide a fun holiday event to benefit children who have been so impacted by the pandemic shutdowns these past two years. The breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, and juice. A large breakfast is $8, and a small breakfast is $5 with the funds raised to help support local Girl Scout activities.
Santa will have sweet treats to pass out to the children who come to share their holiday wishes and the visit with Santa and photo opportunity is free. Grange members hope that participants will bring a can or two of non-perishable food that can be added to the food baskets which the Grange puts together to support MHS families in need. Soup, tuna, peanut butter, and canned fruit are most welcome. For further information, call 707-840-0100.
