Bouldering Competition
Presented by the Student Recreation Center, the 11th Annual Climbing Competition is scheduled for April 30th, 2016. Our goal to promote unity within our community and to raise climbing awareness.This year our competition will test the endurance of climbers with a day-long event at two different walls! Participants will be split into two divisions, men’s and women’s. Each division is composed of beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert categories, with problems ranging in difficulty from V0-V10+, as well as finals for the expert category. With nearly 50 bouldering problems our event is both fun and rewarding for all. We will be rewarding prizes for the top three competitors in each category for both the men’s and women’s division. We expect 50 or more participants and many more spectators to be in attendance. This year’s event will benefit from additional advertising and bigger sponsors, resulting in more spectators and participants! We will also have vendor booths, a slack line warm-up area and food! Participating in the 11th Annual Climbing Competition is a great way to support Humboldt County’s climbing community, Humboldt State University and promote climbing awareness, while reaching out to a diverse and growing outdoor community in Humboldt County.
