The Undercovers, Lounge Act
I'll be there around 8pm or earlier, but here is the line-up for the night - this is a 21+ event
8:30pm - official start
9pm - cover charge begins ($5)
9:15pm - Lounge Act (Nirvana cover band)
10:15pm - The Undercovers (local amazing cover band)
Well everyone - after being up in Humboldt for twelve years and a handful of months (not including the six months I was in Los Angeles) I have decided to move to a more active area in hopes of becoming a professional musician. For those who have not heard through the grapevine, my main pursuit is to be a musician for Cirque du Soleil - so to Las Vegas I go! I'll be living with my very good friend Leo and melting faces as often as I can.
I've been so lucky in this county - I've met so many amazing people and grown so much as a person and as a musician. I've had countless life-shaping experiences and created 100s of friendships that I KNOW will survive the test of time.
Since my parents are still up here my goal is to be able to visit for roughly one week every three months; so this is definitely not the last time y'all are going to see me. Also, it's cheap to visit Vegas (relatively) so get your asses out there!
Now, to the event itself. There will be two bands playing and bartender, close friend, and all-around awesome guy Sam will be manning the bar. He's working on some Sailor Jerry specials for the evening (duh, it's my favorite liquor) that either he or I will be sharing once he has put them together.
I'll be asking for $5 at the door to help pay for the bands; the cover charge will begin at 9pm. I'd pay them myself but I'm trying to be as thrifty as possible to prepare for the move. Plus, $5 for a two-band concert AND spending my last Humboldt weekend with me isn't so bad ; )
