Bill Orcutt, Zoh Amba, Chris Corsano
TWO SETS! This performance will be the West Coast premiere of the trio performing music from their new LP "The Flower School." One of experimental music's most influential guitarists, BILL ORCUTT has been called a "powerful musician... a go-for-broke guitar improviser" by the NY Times. Saxophonist ZOH AMBA has collaborated with a variety of high profile musicians such as Vijay Iyer, legendary bassist William Parker, Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), and more. Her debut record "O, Sun" was produced by John Zorn and released on his prestigious label Tzadik. Drummer CHRIS CORSANO has been working at the intersections of free improvisation, avant-rock, and experimental music since the late '90s. He's worked with Björk, Joe McPhee, Paul Flaherty, Mette Rasmussen, Sir Richard Bishop, Okkyung Lee, and more. He's been called "one of the world's great drummers" by The Guardian and "a peripatetic ace of the avant-garde" by The New York Times.
