Artist Talk with Andrei Hedstrom
Eureka’s Black Faun Gallery kicks off the new year with “Affinity and Novelty” - new abstract oil paintings by Ferndale artist, Andrei Hedstrom. The public is invited to a free Artist Talk with Andrei Hedstrom at the gallery on Saturday, January 21 at 3:00 p.m. Andrei will be leading an informal conversation about his show Novelty and Affinity at the Black Faun Gallery. He will explain his attraction to these two themes as well as answer questions about his general approach to painting, including techniques and studio practices. Participants will be invited to share their own thoughts and feeling when viewing the work as a way to create a shared experience of how abstract art is still being created even after the paint has dried.
