Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary Bird Walk
Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for a free guided field trip at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, August 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Bring your binoculars and meet trip leader Kathryn Wendel at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake) in Arcata for easy-to-walk trails and an opportunity to view a diverse range of species. Shorebird migration is well underway, so species like dowitchers, yellowlegs, godwits, curlews, and whimbrels may be present.
