6RRC Atalanta's Victory Walk & Run
Mother’s Day - 38th Atalanta Victory Run & Walk Arcata - Six Rivers Running Club’s 38th annual Atalanta Victory All-Women Run and Walk takes place on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12th at 10 a.m. This 2 mile or 5k run and walk begins and ends at the Arcata Co-op, 811 I Street, Arcata. Registration is available the day of the race from 8:00-9:30 a.m. Women and girls of all ages come out for this event. There are special awards for teams that have two- or three- generations walking. Every participant receives a ribbon and flower when they finish. Fees: girls 12 & under $10, 13 & older $20. Registration forms and more information can be found on Six Rivers Running Club’s website, atalanta-run.com. You can also register the Friday before the event at the Arcata Co-op from 4-6 p.m. Proceeds from the event are shared with the Breast and GYN Health Project and local running teams. Six Rivers Running Club is centered in Humboldt County, California. Although a small club, 6RRC hosts four large races each year, drawing runners from far afield to run among the towering redwoods.
