33rd Annual Arcata Lantern Floating Ceremony
In loving memory of the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This will be an opportunity to offer spiritual consolation for people we miss, departed loved ones, peace, joy, healing, harmony, and all we hold dear. Free Lantern Making available at the Arcata Farmer's Market from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Program begins at 7:30 p.m. Lantern Floating on Klopp Lake (Arcata Marsh) at sunset. Parking is limited so please consider ride-sharing, biking, or walking to the event. And remember to bring a flashlight!!
