2nd Annual SkateFest
The Humboldt Skatepark Collective invites the public to the second annual Skate Fest, a fundraiser on Saturday, September 26th, at RampArt Skatepark, located at 700 South G street in Arcata. This FREE all-ages event includes the chance to try out tarp surfing, skate the portable ramps from McKinleyville Skatepark Organization, and explore the diverse features of RampArt, all while enjoying live music. There will also be a raffle, food and refreshments, and live artwork. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with the skate contest planned for 7 p.m. The event will wrap up with music from Lord Ellis at 9pm. The Humboldt Skatepark Collective (HSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life on the north coast through recreation. The HSC is comprised of three groups: the Mckinleyville Skatepark Organization, the Trinidad Skatepark Alliance, and RampArt Indoor Skatepark. Through advocacy and outreach, it aims to support programs and facilities for residents of the north coast to engage in self-expression and exercise.
