2024 Humboldt Trails Summit with Senate President Mike McGuire 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Humboldt Trails Council will be hosting the 2024 Trails Summit at the Sequoia Conference Center, 901 Myrtle Avenue, Eureka on Saturday, June 1. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with a resource fair of trail partners, and presentations begin at 10:30 a.m. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Trail Partners” and will highlight the exciting progress that has been made in developing our trails including those under construction, in the planning phase, and the new trails you can visit today. Do not miss this opportunity to learn about, celebrate and be inspired by the partnerships that make shared paths and trails possible.
Speakers will include President pro Tempore Mike McGuire and General Manager for the Great Redwood Trail Agency Elaine Hogan, who will speak about the Great Redwood Trail Master Plan; Hank Seemann will share updates about the county’s efforts to connect and extend the Humboldt Bay Trail; Emily Sinkhorn from the City of Arcata will speak to the work being planned on the Annie and Mary Connectivity Trail, and Jesse Willor from the City of Eureka will share plans for the Bay-to-Zoo Trail. Refreshments will be provided.
