World Water Rising
World Water Rising is a fundraiser focused on bringing together our community to network, educate, and share local, national, and international concerns about water and sovereignty. At 4pm we will host a Traditional Salmon Cook outdoors featuring traditionally cooked salmon by Willard Carlson & Crew, traditionally harvested wild rice from Minnesota, and local, organic produce from Potowat Village and other local farms. At 6pm presentations will begin in the Sapphire Palace. Marlon Sherman will emcee and Brian Tripp will open with a prayer. Speakers will include Arla Ramsey, Ted Hernandez, and Louisa McCovey, among others. There will be a special message from Winona LaDuke of Honor the Earth. Also featuring, short films by Shane Anderson, John Wathen, and Kevin McKiernan as well as drumming and a dance presentation.
There are a LIMITED number of tickets for each portion of the event.
