Wine by the Sea Benefit
Imagine spending an afternoon gazing out at the ocean, sipping on local wines and nibbling locally made desserts, cheeses, barbecued oysters and other tasty treats. Now add good friends, live music and fabulous auction items, all in support of a good cause. Bring this all together and you have the third annual Wine by the Sea at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center. This year's event features live music by Lemon Lemon Cherry and the Spin Drifters, functional art cigar boxes created by 18 local artists, a live painting by artist Matt Beard which will be auctioned off during the event, and a wine pull. Last year the event sold out, so get your tickets early! Tickets are available at Wildberries Marketplace, the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center and on line at www.friendsofthedunes.org. This event supports Friends of the Dunes education and conservation programs that help connect people of all ages to the beauty of the coast and become involved in coastal conservation.
