Willow Creek Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

Were you left feeling frustrated or not knowing how to help during the recent wildfires and winter storms? Northern Humboldt and Eastern Trinity County residents are invited to join us for a FREE Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Course. This three day course will prepare and certify you to respond to and assist during county emergencies and disasters. This Basic CERT Training consists of 23 hours of classwork over three days (Friday-Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Curriculum includes Emergency Preparedness and Response, Team Organization, Disaster Medical Operations, Fire Safety, Light Search and Rescue, Terrorism, and a Disaster Simulation Drill. Students graduating from the course will receive a donation of safety equipment from California Volunteers/LISTOS program. All course materials are provided, including participant manuals. Once certified, CERT members may be called upon before, during, or after county emergencies to perform basic response activities. This course will be held at the Willow Creek Community Services District (135 Willow Road, Willow Creek, CA 95573) June 17-19, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m..
