Whiskey Whiskers Mustache Competition
I hope No Shave November ended up lasting until Valentine's Day, when you unleashed your monster of a mustache for all of the world to see! Come celebrate Mustache March with all of the finest, facial hair donning folks from this fine county!
With the local scumbag country band, The HiLL, and standup comedy from local jokers, Ray Hazmatt McMillin (winner of the 2014 Humboldt Pun Off), Sarah Godlin (editor of Savage Henry Magazine), Zeke Herrera (the cuddly muthafucka), Kim Hodges(author of the children's book Everybody Pukes), Matt Redbeard (THE Matt Redbeard!), and Sue Charnes (of the Jonestown Charnes), the evening is going to be so much more than just a facial hair frenzy!
The Whiskey Whiskers Mustache Competition, hosted by Joe Deschaine, local standup comic and winner of "Best Mustache" at Eureka's 2013 Wild Wild Whiskers Competition, and "Bushiest Mustache" at the Logger Bar's 1st Annual Mustache Contest.
Local celebrity judges include, Sherae O'Shaughnessy (KSLG, the newspapers, and host of The Humboldt Hookup), Andrew Goff (Lost Coast Outpost, Seven-O-Heaven), Rhythym McCollum (all around badass and professional mustache rider), and Eric J. Hall (1st ever Mr.Humboldt, forever Captain Awesome)!
Whiskey Whiskers Mustache Wax and merchandise will be all over this event, so count on good smells and great prizes! There will be multiple categories, with a winner and runner up in each. Top mustaches will walk away with a faceful of prizes and glory! Prizes have been donated by local businesses, including The Trim Scene, Big Pete's Pizzeria, and Ewe So Dirty Products!
