Domestic Violence and Children Webinar
On October 22nd, and October 30th respectively will be showings of two webinars from the National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma and Mental Health. The series is called “Building Trauma-Informed Services for Children, Youth and Parents Impacted by Domestic Violence.” The Oct. 22nd event is “Children and Domestic Violence” and is from noon – 2 p.m. The Oct. 30th event is “Children Grow in the Context of Their Relationships: Stress, Resilience and Principles of Child Development.” They're free and at the Community Wellness Center, on 7th in Eureka. Snacks provided. The webinars are sponsored by the Dept. of Health and Human Services, Family Violence Program, the Child Abuse Prevention and Coordinating Council (CAPCC), and the Humboldt County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council through its Prevention Committee. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
