If you put together the words vagina and popsicle, what do you get? Vagsicle. Not just a mildly uncomfortable (albeit amazing) image, it’s the name of a Humboldt-based female rap duo. On Nov. 9 after Arts Alive Arcata, bring your mons pubis or what-have-you down to the Miniplex at Richard's Goat for the release of Vagsicle’s debut album “Vagsicle Tastical” with special guests. Doors at 9:00 pm - show at 9:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and available online and at the door. With galactically charged synthy beats and cosmic musical stylings by local musician Cory Goldman, Vagsicle holds no punches with their totally out there odes to the female body. Pube Head (Maggie Lally) will be opening this sparkle-crotch fantasia with a special breed of performance art and games. Yes. GAMES. The show will also feature mother vag (Alyssa Hughlett), and performances by Drag Kings Tucker Noir and Hugh Johnson. Along with these two artists, Vagsicle was selected to perform in the 2018 International Drag Festival in Texas. Come send them off!
