The Delta Nationals
Fortuna Concert Series presents its 2013-14 season grand opening on Saturday, September 14, at the Fortuna Monday Club. To open our season we are delighted to present "The Delta Nationals," who play classic American dance music. Since November of 2000 The Delta Nationals have become one of the most sought-after dance/party bands on the North Coast. The group covers styles like jump blues/swing, rockabilly, ’50s and ’60s rock and roll, classic country, New Orleans R&B and ’60s Southern soul. Their original songs reflect these influences. With Dave Ryan on keyboard, Paul DeMark on drums, Ross Rowley on bass, Steve Irwin on guitar and all joining in on vocals, the group creates music that vibrates with joy, soul, heartbreak, and dance-the-night-away abandon. Wherever The Delta Nationals play, their fans swing, waltz, jitterbug, rhumba, cha-cha, boogie ... Concert time is 7:30 p.m. at the Fortuna Monday Club, 610 Main Street (corner of 6th and Main St.) in Fortuna. Tickets for individual concerts are available at the door. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
