The Babes
The Fortuna Concert Series is delighted to welcome back The Babes, a choral group started 20 years ago as an outgrowth of the Humboldt Light Opera Co. that is directed by Carol Ryder. The repertoire for this performance will include an eclectic mix of songs from folk to jazz, serious to seriously funny. They will present jazz standards from the '40s to modern compositions. Babe Magnets, a small ensemble of men directed by Bill Ryder, will join the group in concert. The program will bring back many memories, and you will leave humming your favorites. The concert is a production of the Fortuna Concert Series. Tickets are available at the door. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
