Sustainable Futures Speaker Series

As part of the Sustainable Futures Speaker Series, Dr. Erin Kelly will present “Sustaining Rural Places: What Are We Sustaining?” Erin Kelly joined the Humboldt State University Department of Forestry and Wildland Resources in fall 2012 as an assistant professor in forest policy, economics, and administration. She is interested in forest ownership and governance and rural community well-being. Recently, she has been exploring the impacts of policies like the California carbon market on forest practices. The Sustainable Futures Speaker Series is presented by the Environment & Community Graduate Program and the Schatz Energy Research Center. The presentation will take place Thursday, October 31, at 5:30 p.m. in Gist Hall 218 on the HSU campus.
