San Francisco's seven-piece super group raids America’s musical pantry of jazz, bluegrass, classical and rock to concoct a tasty blend of fresh, rootsy ingredients. The band features Jim Chayka on banjo dubbed by the California Bluegrass Association as “the best banjo player you never heard of.” Alisa Rose plays violin. Grammy-nominated for her work with Quartet San Francisco, she also belongs to the Real Vocal String Quartet and has played with 49 Special and Bob Weir. Multi-instrumentalist Rich Armstrong has recorded with Boz Scaggs, Thomas Dolby and Michelle Shocked among others. Mike Emerson plays keyboards, and has performed with such musicians as Elvin Bishop, Percy Sledge, and Ivan Neville. Yoseff Tucker, twice named the Northern California Bluegrass Society’s Guitarist of the Year.
