Summer String Ensemble
Elgar’s Serenade for Strings and Britten’s Simple Symphony will be among the works performed Sunday afternoon, Aug. 17, at Trinidad’s Town Hall in a benefit concert for the Trinidad Library. The informal ensemble includes more than two dozen musicians from the Eureka Symphony and area chamber groups who gather occasionally to benefit Trinidad’s library and its museum. Also on their program are Dvorak’s Serenade for Strings and Grieg’s Holberg Suites. The concert runs from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 409 Trinity St. A $5 minimum donation is suggested, and more is welcomed.
