SoHum Sudden Oak Death Education and Outreach Meeting

TELEGRAPH RIDGE VOLUNTEER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT will be hosting an educational & outreach meeting, July 18 th at 4 P.M., focusing on the impacts of Sudden Oak Death on our forests.

We have identified extensive areas of dead trees that could pose a serious wildfire threat. Hundreds of acres of standing dead timber are visible on satellite images. The areas affected are primarily in the Blue Slide, Mattole Canyon and Grindstone creek watersheds.

We will have scientists and staff from the University of California extension office and the Mattole Restoration Council to help us understand the disease and what options we have as residents and land owners.

PLEASE JOIN US AT OUR NEW ETTERSBURG FIRE STATION JULY 18TH 4:00 P.M. For more information please call Robie – 986-7429
