Social Media Workshop
Humboldt Made is hosting a social media workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Link building in Arcata, 1385 Eighth St., south wing.
Bill Prescott, a local social media expert, a founding board member of Humboldt Made and marketing and communications associate at Sun Valley Floral Farm will lead “Content Is King,” a workshop to help businesses understand how marketing content drives customer engagement.
Prescott is responsible for Sun Valley Group's social media platform, blogging and multimedia communications. He was formerly the marketing coordinator at Los Bagels and has taught many workshops for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Prescott is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post and chairman of the Humboldt Made Marketing Committee. He also runs Prescott Designs, a social media consulting company based in Eureka.
This workshop is free to Humboldt Made members and supporters, and available to nonmembers for $20. RSVP at 707-388-3010.
