The nomadic videos of ACVilla take us through doorways in the Rustbelt, into a spider’s life at a rest stop, to ice shadows in New Mexico, among other visions she’s found, waited for and/or created along her peripatetic life. Silver Ochre is a 47 minute series of short films ranging from 30 seconds to 4 minutes in length capturing moments in time, each with their own story, and in stark contrast one from the other. Simple but often profoundly entertaining, these vignettes encourage the viewer to enter into their own present through individual creative interpretations of the film and music. Thollem has scored these films and accompanies them live with a vintage electric piano and analog effects.
