It Happened One Night (1934)

A pampered socialite meets up with a cynical reporter while running away from her family. Sensing a juicy story, he agrees to help her get from Miami to New York--but they both get more than they bargained for. This was the first film to win all five major Academy Awards (Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenplay).

Starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. Directed by Frank Capra. Based on the story "Night Bus" by Samuel Hopkins Adams.
