Annual HERO Ride For Life
Hello HERO Riders and Supporters!
Come join us for the 11th Annual HERO Ride For Life!!
Date: Saturday, May 2, 2015
Place: Ferndale Fairgrounds Racetrack (for information on overnight camping please call the Fairgrounds at 707-786-9511)
Schedule of Events:
7:00 am—Registration begins, sign up, tack up, warm up, and set up. Forms are available online at www.herorideforlife.org. Register early by April 1 to get 5 extra raffle tickets for each rider on your team! No registration deadline, you can register the day of the event. EVERYONE WELCOME!
9:00 am—Opening lap and ceremonies. All riders meet on the track. We encourage everyone to ride in the first lap which is led by and honors survivors.
9:00 am to 3:00 pm—HERO Ride For Life relay at a walk around the track.
11:30 am to 12:30 pm—Free lunch provided by our sponsors for HERO Ride For Life participants.
2:00 pm—Money must be turned in to count for team and individual totals.
3:00 pm—Awards presented and Raffle winners drawn—Raffle winners or your designees must be present to win.
4:00 pm—Clean up facilities, pack up, and head out
We are looking for volunteers who would like to:
- Give an equine related demonstration!
horse shoeing, photography, equine first aid, saddle & tack fitting, bit selection, equine law, equine nutrition, or ??
- Set up games for participants!
bingo and trail obstacles have been popular! Other ideas?
Help with set up at 6am and with registration at 7am
or help sell raffle tickets and sweatshirts at the registration table
