(Re)Debris: A Marine Debris Educational Sculpture

Inspired by Bandon, Oregon’s Washed Ashore project and funded by a grant from the Coastal Commission, The Coastal Programs of the North Coast Environmental Center and SCRAP Humboldt present (Re)Debris a marine debris educational sculpture.

This sculpture will be built utilizing trash gathered from beach cleanups and will take the form of a local creature affected by the harms of plastics and other pollution in our oceans. The creature will be announced at the first community building workshop on Tuesday, July 8.

The community is invited to drop-in and participate in the sculpture building process at SCRAP Humboldt’s The (Re)Workshop at 101 H street in Arcata.
