Pulling Together to Save Our Coast!

Sanctuary Forest, Lost Coast Interpretive Association and California State Parks have rescheduled the Pulling Together to Save Our Coast event for Sunday, March 31. This event was previously scheduled for Saturday, February 16, but was canceled due to the closure of the road to Needle Rock. The road is still closed, but we have hopes that it will be opened by March 31. If it is not, we may need to cancel–please RSVP below to stay notified. We will be removing French broom and other invasive species in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. Some hand tools and weed wrenches will be provided–if you have a favorite tool, go ahead and bring it. Please bring a lunch, water and gloves. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Meet at the Sanctuary Forest office at 9am to carpool—bring a 4-wheel-drive vehicle if possible. We will return to Whitethorn by 2pm. Rain may cancel this event. To RSVP: visit sanctuaryforest.org, call 986-1087 x 9#, or email anna@sanctuaryforest.org.
