Center Activities is proud to present the 8th Humboldt Bay Paddlefest!!! The waters in and around Humboldt County are one of our greatest resources and paddle sports are one of the best ways to enjoy it. It is our hope that the HSU community, local community members, and those from farther afield will gather to enjoy the classes, clinics, races, music, and time outdoors at Paddlefest. The event is held at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, next to the Adorni Center on the beautiful Eureka Waterfront.
Paddlefest will feature activities showcasing Humboldt Bay, and will be based at HSU’s Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center. The Aquatic Center will serve as the official headquarters for Paddlefest, including hosting land-based activities/classes, while water-based activities will be scheduled to launch from the floating dock facility. The day will play host to music, clinics and classes, vendor demos and booths, auctions, door prizes, and delicious food, microbrews and other beverages, and the wacky Cardboard Kayak Race, and a myriad of other water-based activities.
Admission is FREE. In past years, over 1000 people attended including Humboldt State University alumni, students, local and regional water enthusiasts and novices and community spectators.
Participating in Paddlefest is a great way to support outdoor adventure on the North Coast, Humboldt State University and promote recreational use of the bay. Profits from the event will be donated to the HSU Center Activities Youth Aquatic Scholarship Fund.
