NPA China and Tibet Trip Presentation

In June/July this past summer 12 NPA students traveled to Jyekondo, a market city of nomads, monks, and religious pilgrims on the Tibetan Plateau stil recovering from a massive earthquake. With the help of their school, the NPA Parent Council, Lost Coast Rotaract, and Whirlwind Wheelchairs, they brought medical supplies and three terrain appropriate wheelchairs to a senior home in the village of Mani Jani. The students spent a year studying China, and during the trip picked a topic to take notes on. We traveled beyond Jyekondo, to Beijing, Xian, Xining, Chengdu, Chongqing, the Dawn Redwoods of Mou Dao, Nanjing, Changzhou, and Shanghai, following the Yangtze River from near her headwaters down to the South China Sea. This is their story.
