Mythic Re-Membering
MYTHIC RE-MEMBERING Dates: October 13, 14 & 15, 2015 Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Fee: $45 Location: CR Community Education 525 D Street, Room 112 Instructor: Rebecca Cacciari Students will examine the tales of Snow White, The Snow Queen and Disney’s Frozen. Looking at these tales will foster a discussion including history, archetypes (i.e. the maiden’s journey), functions of myth, and processes for transformation. The course will also look to memoir in the form of music and poetry, media's responses to these tales, and ways in which we individually relate to them, leading us to a mythic re-membering of ourselves.
