Where's Queer Bill Presents hosts Humboldt Pride's afterparty with Special Guest Marga Gomez
Out Lesbian Comedian Marga Gomez takes the stage at the finale of the one week long Humboldt Gay Pride Celebration. Marga appears at the After-Pride Party, Saturday September 14th, at Nocturnum, 206 W. Sixth Street, Doors open at 8:30pm, show at 9:00pm
“Marga Gomez is a nationally known touring comedian, GLAAD award winner and a really cool lesbian.” As the daughter of a Cuban comedian and Puerto Rican dancer Marga made her stage debut in New York at age 7 and has been hooked ever since. Her long and colorful career includes achievements in comedy, theater, film and television. She tours nationally and internationally as one of America’s first openly gay comics. Her comedy has been featured on HBO, LOGO and Comedy Central.
Robin Williams called Marga "Amazing...like a lesbian Lenny Bruce." She was named "Best Comedian 2012" in San Francisco by the Bay Area Reporter, The SF Weekly and The SF Bay Guardian. She was also named one of 2012's “Women We Love” by GONYC magazine. Her film television and stage credits include roles in Barry Levinson's Sphere and HBO's Tracey Takes On.
