The only thing better than viewing a finished piece of stunning art work is the opportunity to watch it come alive with your very own eyes. This Friday, at 5:00pm, in conjunction with Fortuna’s First Friday, Eel River Brewing Company hosts local painter, Steve Helton. Helton will be in the pub, brush in hand, creating one of his breathtaking landscape pieces (Ocean, pictured left). You many recognize Helton as the face of Fortuna Automotive, as an active member of our local tuna fishing club, or as the man behind Fortuna’s Thanksgiving Basket Program, feeding over 200 local families each year. Helton is a man of many talents; oil painting, ceramics, and manning the BBQ among them. Father of five, grand-father of two (with one more on the way), Helton has heart of gold and a paintbrush of magic. Be sure to stop by Eel River Brewing Company this Friday to experience Helton’s beautiful work firsthand. Reservations are encouraged at 725-BREW and walk-ins are always welcome.
