Little River Trail Public Site Visit

Explore the Possibilities of a Future Little River Trail Join friends and neighbors for an upcoming site visit to examine opportunities to extend the Hammond Coastal Trail north across the Little River towards Westhaven and Trinidad. The Little River Trail will serve as a section of the California Coastal Trail and provide a safe non-motorized connection between Trinidad and Humboldt Bay communities. The Little River Trail Public Site Visit will be held Wednesday, October 16th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Little River State Beach north parking area, on Clam Beach Road south of Crannell Road. After a brief history of the site and the project, community members will be encouraged to review draft maps and give input to preliminary trail alignments. After the discussion, there will be an optional dune hike to the Little River to view potential trail crossing options and the northern project area. Those attending the site visit will help envision the Little River Trail for economic vitality, recreation, and community. The Little River Trail Public Site Visit is coordinated by the Natural Resources Services Division of Redwood Community Action Agency and funded by the State Coastal Conservancy.
