Learn how to form a Cannabis Co-op

Co-op Roadshow: Learn how to form a Co-op! This workshop is designed to support and encourage the formation of cannabis cooperative associations. Hosted by the Humboldt County Growers Alliance, in conjunction with the California Growers Association, hear presentations by Casey & Amber O'Neill of the Emerald Grown Cooperative to learn from their experience how to form a cooperative cannabis association. Cannabis Cooperative Associations are membership organizations, composed of licensed cannabis cultivators with fewer than 10,000 cumulative square feet, and not exceeding four acres in its total ownership. Cooperatives can help smaller producers realize the efficiencies of scale while preserving the independent ownership of each individual farm. Once formed, cooperatives can do many things, including: Cultivation, marketing, or selling of the cannabis products of its members; and growing, harvesting, curing, drying, trimming, packing, grading, storing, or handling of any product of its members. Attendees will take home a developed guide on how to form a cooperative.
