Humboldt Roller Derby is proud to announce that we are working with Making Headway (Center for Brain Injury Recovery) in an exciting new safety campaign for children in our community. Our slogan, "Be You. Be Safe. Gear up.", is meant to encourage kids to wear safety gear by showing their own personal style and that being safety-conscious is cool.
In an effort to spread awareness about brain injury, the women of Humboldt Roller Derby will be participating in this weekend's safety fair, demonstrating everything from learning how to stop and fall properly, to decorating helmets. Don't arrive too late! We will be giving away helmets to our first 100 attendees.
