•  Opening Day Ceremony at the front gate, 10:45am
  – Parade into the fairgrounds to Friendship Square
• OPENING NIGHT CONCERT
  – Super Diamond (Neil Diamond Tribute Band) at 7pm with opening band Doug Fir & the 2×4’s at 5:30pm
  – Grandstands at 7pm

  FREE admission to the Fair on opening day with purchase of concert ticket.  

Friday, August 19 – Flashback Friday

• FREE admission for seniors 62+
  – First 100 Baby Boomers to purchase a beverage at Friendship Square receive a FREE Humboldt County Fair stemless wine glass or mason jar beer mug.

Sunday, August 21 – Hispanic Heritage Day

• Sheepdog Trial – In the covered arena at 1pm

Monday, August 22 – Kid’s Day

• Kid’s Day – Kids 12 and under get in FREE!
  – FREE Face-Painting for kids at Hindley Hall, 11am-3pm
• Everything Humboldt in the Grandstand area, noon-5pm
  – Local producers, farmers’ market, kid’s activities, recreation & more!
  – Stop by to visit with local businesses and enjoy live music from the North Coast
• “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” Competition – Friendship Square at 5pm

Tuesday, August 23 – Local Music Event

• Battle of the Bands at Midway Stage, 7pm.
  – Watch local bands compete to be named Humboldt’s Best Band. Judges will award points based on stage presence, musicianship, audience response (that’s where you come in) and originality.

Wednesday, August 24 – Surf & Turf BBQ Contest

• Grandstand area, 11am-6pm…Surf & Turf BBQ Competition with special host Chef Guy Fieri! (enter here)
• GRAND PRIZE: $800 Daniel Boone Wifi Pellet Grill from our sponsor Green Mountain Grills
• Meet Chef Guy Fieri at the Post Party in Friendship Square following the BBW Contest!

Thursday, August 25 – Bull-O-Rama

• Grandstand area, gates open at 5pm
  – Live music with Bill Jones Band, Kid’s Mutton Bustin’ Contest & more!
