GMO Speaker Series
Mark Wilson presents "A Humboldt Biologist's perspective on GMOs" on September 19th. Dr. Wilson is a Professor of Biological Sciences at Humboldt State University, with a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Cornell University. A molecular geneticist with a strong interest in natural history, his current research focuses on genome evolution and natural horizontal gene transfer in microbial communities. He has been interested in GMOs since the early 1980s and has been an active participant in local discussions about regulation of GMOs.
