Freshwater Farms Reserve Open House
The Northcoast Regional Land Trust and the Kneeland Glen Farm Stand, operated by Kathy Mullen, invite the community to an open house at Freshwater Farms Reserve, located at 5851 Myrtle Ave, Freshwater CA.There will be multiple vendors showcasing Humboldt’s locally-produced food and fiber, and local band Sleepwalkerz will entertain the crowd throughout the afternoon. NRLT's Executive Director Mike Cipra will lead a tour of the 74-acre property at 2:00 pm starting at the historic Graham-Long Dairy Barn; this tour will traverse the wild and working landscapes that make Freshwater Farms Reserve a unique community resource. Throughout the afternoon, the land trust will be seeking input from the community on the long-term vision of the property. Free, no RSVP is necessary—all attendees are encouraged to bring a potluck item to share with their neighbors, with a focus on using locally grown and produced ingredients.
