Humboldt Rose Society Sale
Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Humboldt Rose Society is holding its annual plant sale at the Redwood Acre’s Fairground’s Rose Garden. Come buy your mother, or even yourself, a rose or other plant that is known to flourish in Humboldt County. The sale starts at 10 a.m. and goes to 4 p.m. With every rose purchased, the buyer will win a raffle ticket for a David Austin® rose. The drawing occurs at 3:30 p.m. and you do not need to be present to win. Consulting rosarians, rose experts, will also be able to answer your rose cultivation questions. The Redwood Acres Fairground’s rose garden is located at the north end of the fairgrounds near the livestock show ring. Those who are interested in cultivating their knowledge of roses along with their roses are encouraged to join. Dues are a reasonable $20 for an individual or $25 for a family.
