Nashville Treasure Graces The Eureka Theater Grammy nominated singer / songwriter Deborah Allen, a long time member of Nashville's elite music community has developed a wide range of interests in addition to music, including theater restoration. This has led to her upcoming August 17th performance at Eureka Theater. Recently she has been involved in the restoration of the Franklin Theater in her current home town of Franklin, Tennessee, facilitating the donation of a new Baldwin grand piano to the theater. It's been a whirlwind career of performing, producing, recording and writing for Deborah Allen since her iconic hit song "Baby I Lied" exploded in 1983. She has released 13 solo albums with a new Christmas album on the way this year. She has written more than 1600 published compositions which have been recorded by an extensive lineup of contemporary artists ranging from country (LeAnn Rimes, Brooks & Dunn, Conway Twitty etc) to pop (Isaac Hayes, Diana Ross, Sheena Easton, Fleetwood Mac). Deborah will be taking time out from recording her new Christmas album to appear at the Eureka Theater. Joining her on stage for the August 17th performance will be guitarist and fellow Nashville mainstay Mike Loudermilk. The son of composer John D. Loudermilk, Mike is one of Nashville's top guitarists, having recorded and toured worldwide with many of the industry's biggest stars. As the proprietor of the recording studio Nashville Sound Project House, he continues to produce, engineer and arrange for many of Nashville's hit songwriters. "I am excited to perform in and support the restoration of the Eureka Theater," said Deborah Allen. "It's a beautiful art-deco era venue, listed on the National Historic Registry." The show will benefit the iconic theater's ongoing restoration effort. It will be an opportunity to be up close and personal with these two Nashville artists. Tickets are $27.50 in advance and $30.00 dollars at the door. A limited number of reserved VIP stage-side cocktail seats are also available at $50.00 each.
