Dazzle Shjips - Closing Party
The Black Faun Gallery concludes the two month run of Benjamin Funke's "Dazzle Shjips" on Saturday, February 23rd at 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. This is the last chance to see this perception-warping exhibition consisting of drawings, prints, abstract sculpture, and 16mm film. Using unorthodox and reclaimed materials, Benjamin Funke has crafted a show that challenges recognition. The designs of Dazzle Camouflage were used not to hide an object, but to distort shape, size, and intent. Similarly, Dazzle Shjips plays with the concepts of foreign and familiar. The Black Faun Gallery is located at the corner of 2nd and G Streets in Old Town Eureka. The gallery is open to the public Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and by appointment.
