Mahesh Vinayakram (vocals) and John Wubbenhorst (bansuri, keyboards) will perform a unique selection of music influenced by their deep roots in the classical music of India. Mahesh is part of one of the most musical families of South India and his father Vikku Vinayakram is a legend in Indian percussion. John is a celebrated disciple of bansuri maestro Hariprasad Chaurasia. There program will include classical ragas as well as original compositions that include western music elements. Mahesh and John have played with legends such as Zakir Hussain, Victor Wooten, Jack DeJohnette and others.
