California Conservation Corp Volunteer Day
Friends of the Dunes is pleased to partner with the CCC's for the California Conservation Corps Volunteer Day, Saturday, October 18 at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center in Manila. The public is invited to work together with CCC members on a variety of projects including dune restoration, native planting and trail maintenance. The CCC's will provide a continental breakfast for volunteers from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00am. Project work begins at 9:00 a.m. with a break for a BBQ from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., and time to finish up morning projects from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please bring drinking water and wear closed-toed shoes.
