Bring the family to Breakfast in Bayside at the Bayside Grange on Sunday, Oct. 19, 8:00 a.m. to noon, 2297 Jacoby Creek Road. This quarter's gourmet breakfast features live music by the Bayou Swamis. Tickets for breakfast are $8, $5 for kids and seniors, ages 80+ and under 2 are free. Bring the family to Breakfast in Bayside on Sunday, Oct. 19, between 8:00 a.m. & noon at the Bayside Grange, 2297 Jacoby Creek Road. This gourmet breakfast features sourdough multi-grain pancakes, chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs, scrambled tofu, yogurt, organic fruit of the season, Sacred Grounds organic coffee, teas, milk, orange juice, hot chocolate, and Mad River Farm jams and local sauces. This healthy breakfast fare combines with live music, and lively conversation for an entertaining morning. We will also be drawing the raffle that has been ongoing for the quilt at 11:30 a.m.
Breakfast in Bayside is proud to feature music by the Bayou Swamis, a local Cajun/Zydeco Dance Band.
The Bayou Swamis have stolen the funky Zydeco dance beats from the swamps of Louisiana and planted firmly in the marshes of Humboldt County. For over twenty years, they have featured a growing repertoire of Cajun two-steps and Zydeco stomps, and they also swamp up classic swing tunes, country standards and traditional '50s rockers. The Swamis excel at both acoustic and electrified performances. Their music continues to spread the swamp gospel and to keep fans dancing and clapping into the wee hours. The musicians: Randle Lundberg - button accordion, fiddle and vocals, David Bradley - acoustic and electric guitar and vocals, Jeff Landen - guitar, slide guitar, and vocals, Kate Koelmel - triangle, rub board and vocals, Marla Joy - bass guitar and vocals, Tim Gray - Drums and vocals.

Tickets for the breakfast are $8 for a full portion and $5 for smaller portions for Kids 2-12 and Seniors 65-80 (under 2 and over 80 are free). Join the Bayside Breakfast Club and receive six breakfasts for the price of five. Diners who walk or ride a bicycle to the breakfast will be awarded a free serving of real maple syrup or organic blueberry syrup.
Breakfasts in Bayside are great community mixers and help to generate funds towards the ongoing maintenance of the historic Bayside Grange Hall, a favorite venue for local non profit fund raisers, dances, workshops, and family wedding receptions.
