Booksigning by Starhawk
Internationally known activist, trainer, permaculture expert, feminist, environmentalist, and author Starhawk will sign books for free at Moonrise Herbs. Her books include the feminist ectopian novel, The Fifth Sacred Thing, which is poised to become a major motion picture, as well as its prequel Walking to Mercury. She is in the midst of writing a sequel with the working title City of Refuge. Her book, The Spiral Dance, published in 1989, is considered a classic pagan textbook. She has written: the Earth Path:Grounding Your spirit in the Rhythms of Nature; the Pagan Book of Living and Dying; The Twelve Wild Swans: A Journey into the Realm of Magic, Healing and Action;Circle Round: Raising Children in Goddess Traditions; and Truth or Dare: Encounters with Power, Authority and Mystery. Her latest are a children's book The Last Wild Witch, and the Empowerment Manual: a Guide for Collaborative Groups. The Empowerment Model embodies the principles of social permaculture.
