Beach Ecology and Art
Connect art and nature in an afternoon of discovery and creativity during the Beach Ecology and Art workshop, Monday, December 30 from 1-4pm at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center.
Artist and naturalist Barbara Domanchuk will lead this winter-break workshop for ages 10 and up. Go on a discovery walk to the beach and learn about the plants and animals that make their home along the coast. At the beach, collect flotsam (shells, drift wood, etc..) to make your own beach chime, or coastal hanging. After the walk, a creation station will be set up with all the materials and instruction to make this a wonderful gift for family and friends.
