Audubon Guided Birding Tour

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society and trip leader Ken Burton for a half-day exploration of lesser-known sites in the Eel River valley on Sunday, January 29. We'll start with a walk up Tompkins Hill Road to warm up, then proceed to some valley-floor sites. Potential birds of note include Common Goldeneye, Iceland Gull, Ferruginous Hawk, Canada Jay, and Palm Warbler. Meet at Palmer Creek Rd. and Valley Dr. at 8:00 a.m. If you wish to carpool, contact Ken at 707-499-1146 or shrikethree (at) gmail.com. This trip will include a substantial amount of walking, some of it on cobbly, muddy, or steep surfaces.
