Audubon Guided Birding Tour

Let the Redwood Region Audubon Society and trip leader Janelle Chojnacki spice up your weekday evening with this free guided walk around the Arcata Marsh on Tuesday, October 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. We will likely observe many migratory species, including foraging swallows and swifts, warblers, flycatchers, and maybe some raptors getting a last meal before night. Evening walks always carry the possibility of viewing the plethora of night herons taking off from their diurnal roosts and seeing owls out and about! Bring binoculars and a scope if you have one. Meet at the south end of I Street (Klopp Lake). Reservations are not required.
